Who is Stripers Unlimited? 
 

It all started back around 1980.  Jay Leatherman, an avid fisherman, began taking family, friends and assorted guests fishing.  It seemed word of mouth began to spread about the part-time fisherman who could take you fishing, and you would catch a lot of fish.  While on one of those trips a friend told Jay, "Every time I go fishing with you I catch mess of fish.  I've paid a lot of guides to take me fishing, but none have had the success of catching a lot of large fish like the success you have.  You should be a Full-Time Fishing Guide". How little did Jay Leatherman know that those words would become true.  Jay had always wanted to be a full-time guide and it had given him great joy to share with others what he had learned.   Then in 2001, Jay's dream became reality as Stripers Unlimited was born.  Word began to get out about Jay's ability to know fish patterns and how he could locate big fish.  Trip after trip seems to come back with a FULL cooler of fish.  This guy knows how to find fish!
Now that's a pretty Face	Since 2001, Jay has been certified as a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer and a U.S. Coast Guard Captain.  This brings a level of safety and professionalism you may not get on other guided trips.   Stripers Unlimited has grown since those early days to over 150 guided fishing trips a year
